The Inn At Temple Street is the winner of Singapore Tourism Awards 2008, Best Accommodation Experience - Standard Hotel.sg 03/08 In perfectly restored condition, the three-storey building has a pink exterior and overlooks a side street of Chinatown (Temple Street). Located on Temple Street in the heart of old Chinatown where many of the old shop houses still exist. Shop houses were once the abode of merchants who did business on the ground level and their families lived in the floors above. The Inn is itself a converted shop house built before the WWII. Within Chinatown, these colorful shop houses lend an air of charm together with some chintzy souvenir shops and some genuine handicraft shops.
